You probably know very well what the suspension in your Ford Super Duty does. It helps keep your steering stable and your pickup under control. The result: more comfortable handling, not to mention a smoother ride. How do suspensions deliver that? By limiting the impact of bad roads and worse terrain on both the truck and you and your passengers.

Several components factor into that. For one, your chassis. It supports the vehicle's cabin. Secondly, the springs. They support its weight and reduce the effects of driving over uneven surfaces. Third, the anti-sway bar. It helps your wheels move the way they need to, improving stability. Finally, shock absorbers (shocks) and strut assemblies (struts). They do a few things. First, they regulate spring and suspension movement, which keeps handling and braking more consistent. Second, they minimize body roll. Third, they help your wheels align and your tires grip the road more firmly.

A Roush Performance suspension, however, does more and better for your favorite Ford truck. Put simply, it offers dramatically improved stability and stellar off-road performance. Roush suspensions in general do this in several ways. Some offer inches of adjustable front leveling latitude, making it a breeze to change your pickup's ride height. Others have special shocks, like nitrogen-charged aluminum body coilovers, plus tuned performance springs. Others yet have rear shocks made of aluminum, complete with internal floating pistons. A select few even have unique Super Duty pickup-specific shock valving, designed especially for upgraded wheel and tire combos.
